The North Otago Rugby Union is delighted to announce that Fat Sally’s will be the official sponsor of North Otago Club Rugby for the next five years.
On the back of such an entertaining 2024 Premier Club Season, Fat Sally’s owners, Tyler Burgess and Kristin Murdoch are excited to be on board long term.
They both see the benefits of great exposure and the opportunity to be involved in a community sport that has so much history and passion.
“We jumped at the chance to align with the North Otago Rugby Union for another five years and be part of one of the most even and exciting rugby club competitions in New Zealand”, said part owner, Tyler Burgess. “We can’t wait for April and a new club season”.
Kristin Murdoch added, “club rugby is the cornerstone of the community and here in the Waitaki everyone is somehow connected to one of our clubs. We just love being part of it all”.
Former NORFU, CEO, Colin Jackson is both grateful and appreciative of Fat Sally’s support. “Both Tyler and Kristin have been wonderful to work with and their enthusiasm for North Otago Rugby is absolutely fantastic”.
As well as club rugby naming rights, “Fat Sally’s Citizens Shield”, the sponsorship will also tangibly assist junior, secondary and Heartland Rugby in North Otago.
